(These would later be shown digitally in Episodes II and III.) The scenes featuring the booster rockets were cut due to the practical effects being unworkable. R2-D2 was to fall off the landing platform on Coruscant and then fly back up showing that he has booster rockets.An extra shot of Qui-Gon lifting Anakin out of his podracer.This decision was made rather late into production however as the original action figure of the character was the scrapped version.
